Wow! I haven't posted my blogs in a few weeks but it has been a busy and brilliant few weeks😊 so I will try and catch up with the last few weeks! x I landed back home from Birmingham the weekend of the 16th Feb after the Keely Klassic which was so fun!  The weekend of the 22nd and 23rd I went on a fun, solo trip to the North East which I'd been wanting to do for a while to be honest! I didn't realise at all until I went up there, I was saying to my Dad after my trip, how green, fresh and full of countryside County Durham is! It made the driving really pleasant. Highlight of the week: One particular highlight would have to be taking part in my first trail run - a 5k in Hamsterley Forest in Bishop Auckland!  I didn't really appreciate it until I did the event how rural and hilly the terrain on trail runs would be!!😂😂 I think I was being very literal and thought a trail run would be following a trail path and not necessarily so challenging.  I remember talking to my coa...

 💜Week  - 2025!💜 Highlight of the week: The Inaugural Keely Klassic! 💜💜 This weekend, I visited Birmingham to attend the first Keely Klassic! I drove a couple of hours down the night before and stayed over. I did about 20k steps each day, getting up at 6am the morning of the Klassic so I could get 10k steps done before breakfast. #dedicationtomycaloriedeficit Unfortunately, Keely Hodgkinson has picked up a tendon tear in her hamstring in the past week which is such a shame as she is in brilliant form so sadly, Keely was unable to go for her much-anticipated world record attempt in the 800m. But it was great to see how enthusiastically she threw herself into giving her fans such a great showcase of Athletics talent and fun regardless of her personal circumstances. These cupcakes, brownies and rocky roads were naughty!  💜 Week Six - 2025! 💜 I tried on my skeleton fancy dress outfit that I will be wearing for my Great North 10k, Great Manchester 10k and Great North Run to raise money for the Walton Centre Charity!💙🦴💙 You can  click here  to read my fundraising page and why I am raising money for the Walton Centre!💜😍 I will not be running in my sparkly heels however! I provided my photos in my outfit and answers to a questionnaire for media to the Great Manchester Run team which is exciting! Highlight of the week: A highlight of the week has got to be the new *Luna* kitchen being installed for my parents!✨ It is absolutely gorgeous and I love the little details. My Mum picked a lovely grey white colour scheme and the marble table tops she's picked as well have matching iridescent sparkles on like the counter tops! I love the attention to detail.   To put this 5k PB into context, I only started running again at the end of April following some very turbulent years with spinal injuries, a spinal operation, a large load of nerve pain medications which I am still on while I am still undergoing treatments (still some more treatments to go). I also lost the 100lbs I put on through a combination of being immobile, medications and being ill so my health and body have been through a lot but on the flip side, I have achieved so much! I am so so proud of how far I have come in my spinal journey, with my health, with my fitness and rebuilding my running fitness. It has given me belief back that there isn't anything I can't achieve.  I started off with a 33 minute 30 seconds approximate first 5k in May 2024 at a Race for Life Obstacle course. By my final 5k race of 2024 in mid-December, I had lowered that to 26 minutes 53 seconds! I am ecstatic!! What are the things that got me to that 5k Personal Best in 2024? I think these follow...
